UCSF Disability Awareness Campaign

Caro Reyes, a program coordinator in the Office of Communications at UCSF, manages multiple conditions including chronic neuropathy, pain and mobility issues. She walks through UCSF campus with colleague Kathleen Hennessy.

In 2023, the UCSF Office of Communications in partnership with Academic Senate and funds sponsored by the Chancellor, the Office of Disability Access and Inclusion and Disability Management Services (DMS) launched a Disability Awareness Campaign focused on raising awareness of people with disabilities and the support and services it provides for faculty and staff with disabilities or medical conditions.  The stories below are part of a series to raise the visibility of people living with a disability at UCSF and to share resources available at UCSF to serve and support this community.
