Toolkit for Best Practices in Diversity Recruitment

Nikki Le, left, and Anna Hom, talent recruiters in Human Resources, held a workshop on how to interview, in the Global Health Sciences building, at the Mission Bay campus.

The Office of Diversity and Outreach in partnership with Human Resources, has implemented a UCSF-wide process improvement to disrupt unconscious bias present in our hiring and promotions processes.

In Fall 2023 the Toolkit for Best Practices in Diversity Recruitment was updated to include more information about disability access and inclusion for hiring managers as part of a Chancellor's Value Improvement Project sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor.

The updated toolkit contains information related to disability inclusion during the marketing, recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.

Specific disability access and inclusion tools and resources are also available in the Additional Resources section of the toolkit.

Hiring Managers and Supervisors are encouraged to review the toolkit prior to beginning a recruitment process.

Please contact the Chief Accessibility and Inclusion Officer, Wendy Tobias Ed.D. ([email protected]) with any questions about the additions to the toolkit.

If you have an applicant or employee currently requesting reasonable accommodations based on disability, please contact Disability Management Services (DMS) at (415) 476-2621.
