Telehealth Resource Center

This office implements and supports programs to support a variety of technologies and techniques that allow clinicians to deliver virtual medical, health, and education telehealth services. This includes American Sign Language (ASL), captioning, and interpretation services.

Formal Campus Reporting

ADA Coordinator/Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination (OPHD)

OPHD supports the University policy prohibiting discrimination and harassment of any person on the basis of their membership in a protected category. OPHD also has responsibility for preparing the annual written Affirmative Action Plan and program for minorities and women, persons with disabilities, and covered veterans. They are responsible for responding to complaints from persons who believe they have been subjected to discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation on the basis of a protected category or activity.

Patient Relations

Patient Relations focuses on teaching staff on how to anticipate and support the rights and needs of patients, including those with disabilities. This office provides a neutral place for patients to express any concerns about care or services. They manage the investigation of and response to customer complaints. They strive to repair communication pathways and uphold patient rights, including, but not limited to, concerns about equal access for patients with functional limitations. Emergency Action Plans (EAP)

UCSF Campus EAP

Department EAPs are developed in support of the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). Guidance is available on how to develop emergency action plans, which outline each department's preparedness measures and priority actions for managing emergencies—from small accidents to citywide disasters. Employees with disabilities may need individualized plans and assistance from floor wardens or others. Information and training are available. The UCSF Police Department has a limited number of EvacuTrac Evacuation Chairs across UCSF Campus. Online training is required by any person intending to use an evacuation chair.

UCSF Health EAP

Department EAPs (Emergency Action Plans) are developed for each Medical Center Department to support the overall Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). This Department EAP is intended for both patient care and non-patient care departments and should be customized to each area's needs. Employees with disabilities may need individualized plans and assistance from floor wardens or others. Information and training are available.

Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S)

EH&S promotes a safe workplace and protects the environment. EH&S provides expertise and resources to help the UCSF community maintain a safe workplace, ensure safe work practices, and preserve the environment. Safety Escorts

UCSF Campus Safety Escorts

Police officer safety escorts are available in emergency situations to members of the campus community. Escort services are available at Parnassus Heights, Mission Bay, Laurel Heights, Mount Zion, Mission Center, and UCSF at ZSFGH 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Escorts are provided on and within a few blocks of University property.
