Information Technology (IT)

If you're hearing impaired, pay phone teletypewriters (TTYs) – also known as telecommunication devices for the deaf (TDDs) – are available throughout UCSF. We also provide bedside TTYs, phone amplifiers and pocket talkers for patients. Medical center operators are available 24 hours a day by TTY.

Books on tape are provided by Volunteer Services for visually impaired hospital patients.

Real Estate

Transportation Services

|

All UCSF shuttles are ADA accessible and equipped with wheelchair lifts to board patrons with mobility challenges.

UCSF employees who cannot reasonably use public transit and/or UCSF shuttles, as certified by a written statement from the individual's personal physician and approved by Disability Management Services, are eligible for a "GD" permit. A GD permit is intended to be used at an employee's primary work location. In addition to having a GD permit, a disabled placard is required for employees to park in disabled stalls within UCSF's parking facilities.
